On the last trading day of the week, the US dollar managed to avoid a third consecutive day of losses against other major currencies. With no major news on the New York session calendar, consolidation ruled on the major currency pairs. Several technical clues on today’s charts pointed to a short trade setup on the GBP/USD which netted some 90 pips prior to the London close.
